Kellswater Band have returned from Crete after taking part in Concerts at Milatos, Ierapetra and Sissi.

The Band's performances on stage were well received by the ex-pat community, tourists and locals, clips from the various Concerts featured on Cretan television.

 

 

Audiences were treated to a varied programme of military marches, film soundtracks and well known Northern Irish pieces such as the Londonderry Air and The Green Glens of Antrim.

Stephen Rankin, Craig Lutton and Rachel Lutton, soloists from the Band performed on stage, as did the drum corps with an eye catching routine to a New Colonial - Irish Jigs - Killaloe medley, showcasing the best of the Ulster Cultural scene abroad.

Dancers and vocalists from within Kellswater's ranks added another dimension to the Concerts, the Band were joined in their final performance by a local Choir from Crete who hope to visit Northern Ireland in the near future.

Kellswater Band will next be performing in concert as part of the "Summer Bands" programme at Antrim Lough Shore Park on Sunday 25th August 2013 from 3.00 - 4.00 pm.
