Kellswater Flute Band’s annual Christmas Concert in the Tower Centre Ballymena will this year be their tenth, to mark the event the band have again teamed up with  Radio Cracker to help boost the  local radio station’s annual  fundraising  for worthy causes

The concert will be held on Tuesday 23rd December at 7.30pm and Kellswater will perform a wide and varied programme of marches, film themes and concert pieces from their new cd as well as traditional Christmas Carols.

Radio Cracker representatives will be in attendance and  their team of collectors are hoping that Christmas shoppers are in a generous mood, helping increase the overall funds donated to “Cracker” by the Ballymena public.

Various charities have benefited in previous years from the concert including,  Action Cancer, School Aid Romania, Meningitis Research, Radio Cracker, Combat Cancer, Chernobyl Children Appeal (Northern Ireland), Multiple Sclerosis, Macmillan Cancer Care and the Alzheimer’s  Society.

The Band’s new cd “Gibraltar”, released to celebrate the band’s recent visit to the rock, is currently on sale at Irons’s Bakery; Larne St, Ballymena and Sporting Occasions, High St, Antrim priced at £10.00
